Ever been enjoying yourself on a hot date when your date begins asking questions about your medical condition? Ever been alone on a Friday night because there are too many barriers placed in your path like stairs into bars, lack of sign-language at shows, or lack of access to an appropriate washroom? People with disabilities/ diverse ways of being are fetishized, stigmatized, at higher risk of abuse, and often excluded when it comes to intimate relationships. Accessibilize Montreal invites you to explore all that feeds into this such as ideas of normal and abnormal, misogyny, and narrow visions of gender and sexuality. Let’s talk gender, accessibility, and sex! This will be an open discussion facilitated by Aimee Louw, who will be joined by other members of Accessibilize Montreal. All are welcome!
